Mazi Travel participation in the EU Programme SUSTOUR

Through the Association of the Greek Tourism & Travel Agencies (HATTA), Mazi Travel participates in the European Programme SUSTOUR, which aims at the enhancement of competence and skills of EU tourism businesses for the adoption of operational and managerial practices combined with relevant systems, to succeed on improving sustainability, performance and market penetration. 

Travelife, based in the Netherlands, implements the European Programme SUSTOUR and provides training and certification on sustainability management for travel agencies and destination management companies in the EU.

Travelife is a leading training and certification body committed to setting required criteria to implement the transition to a dynamic sustainable operating system. A Sustainability Certificate is provided if the required criteria are satisfied via an extensive company audit related both, to the internal and external management of the company and its corresponding partners/suppliers.

Through the aid of HATTA, and with the professional guidance of Travelife, Mazi Travel has taken the initiative to implement a Sustainable Management System to acquire the Travelife Certificate towards becoming a Travelife Partner. Specifically, having already conducted the staff training cycle, the company is formulating its Sustainability Policy, which will be communicated on Mazi Travel’s website, social media and to partners/suppliers.
